Yes, young kids can get on the bigger coasters so long as they meet the height requirement (hence how 3-year-old me was riding Avalanche, Scooby Doo, & Wild Maus in VA).

On the flip side, keep in mind that there are some height limits–where adults too tall won’t fit on certain rides. There are not too many of these, fortunately, but it’s still important to note.

Height Requirements For Kings Island Kiddie Rides

• Character Carousel: There are no height requirements for the Character Carousel, making it suitable for all ages to enjoy. However, young children under 36″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
• Charlie Brown’s Wind Up: The height requirement for this attraction is 36” to enjoy the ride with a supervising companion. To ride alone, you need to be at least 46″. The maximum height for this ride is 54″.
• Franklin’s Flyers: Here, young riders experience suspended cars that rotate in a circle, with the ability to control their height using a steering fin. The minimum height to ride accompanied is 36“, while 44” is required to ride alone. The maximum weight per car is 340 lbs.
• Joe’s Cool Dodgem School: The ride has no height requirement to participate.
• Kite Eating Tree: Guests must be at least 36“ tall to enjoy this Kings Island attraction.
• Linus Launcher: The height requirement is 36” for all riders, offering a unique experience for those who meet the requirement.
• Linus Beetle Bugs: To participate in this attraction, you must be at least 36“ tall.
• Peanuts 500: There are no height requirements for this particular Kings Island ride, making it accessible for all ages.
• Peanuts Off-Road Rally: There is also no height requirement for this ride, ensuring an exciting experience for younger guests.
• Sally’s Sea Plane: The minimum height to ride Sally’s Sea Plane is 42“. 
• Snoopy vs Red Baron: The height requirement for Snoopy vs Red Baron is 36“, but the maximum height is limited to 54”.
• Snoopy’s Junction: Snoopy’s Junction is an interactive train ride that takes guests on a journey through the heart of Planet Snoopy. There is no height requirement to enjoy this Kings Island attraction.
• Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers: This attraction is an upcoming family coaster set to debut sometime this year. A height requirement has not been confirmed yet.
• Snoopy’s Space Buggies: Guests must be at least 36“ tall to ride, providing a fun and exhilarating attraction for kids.
• Woodstock Whirlybirds: Riders must be at least 42“ tall to ride by themselves in this exciting Kings Island attraction. Guests under 42″ must have a supervising companion.

Family Rides & Thrill Rides Height Requirements 

Family Rides

• Boo Blasters On Boo Hill: For this interactive dark ride , riders under 42“ must be accompanied by a supervising adult companion. Riders over 42″ tall can ride alone.
• Cargo Loco: Like Boo Blasters, riders under 42” have to ride with a supervising companion, while riders over 42″ can ride on their own.
• Charlie Brown’s Rushing River Log Ride: To ride Charlie Brown’s Rushing River Log Ride, guests must be at least 36“ tall. Individuals between the heights of 36″ and 46″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
• Congo Falls: For the Congo Falls water ride, riders must be a minimum of 46“ tall to participate.
• Dodgem: To experience the fun of the Dodgem bumper cars, riders must be 48“ tall or taller.
• Eiffel Tower: The iconic centerpiece of International Street is open to all guests, but children under 46″ tall need to be accompanied by a supervising adult.
• Grand Carousel: This classic carousel ride is suitable for guests of all heights. However, riders under 46″ tall must be accompanied by an adult.
• KI & Miami Valley Railroad: There are no height requirements for the KI & Miami Valley Railroad, but riders under 46″ tall must be accompanied by an adult.
• Kings Mills Antique Autos: For the Kings Mills Antique Autos ride, riders must be at least 48“ tall to drive the cars. Those between 36″ and 48″ tall must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
• Monster: For the Monster ride, guests under 46“ must be accompanied by a supervising companion, while guests over 46″ tall can ride solo.
• Scrambler: To ride the Scrambler, riders must be at least 36“ tall. Children between 36″ and 48″ must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
• Shake Rattle & Roll: Shake Rattle & Roll is open to riders at least 42“ tall.
• Viking Fury: To ride Viking Fury, riders must be 40“ tall or taller. Those between 40″ and 46″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
• White Water Canyon: For the White Water Canyon water ride, guests must be a minimum of 46“ tall.
• Zephyr: Riders of the Zephyr must be at least 48“ tall to ride.

• Delirium: The Delirium ride requires riders to be a minimum of 52“ tall.
• Drop Tower: Those seeking an adrenaline rush on the Drop Tower must be between 48“ and 80“ tall.
• Sol Spin: Sol Spin requires guests to be 48“ tall.
• Surf Dog: For the Surf Dog ride, riders must be at least 42“ tall. Children between 42″ and 48″ tall must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
• WindSeeker: Riders of WindSeeker must be 52“ tall or taller.
• Xtreme Skyflyer: For the daring Xtreme Skyflyer attraction, riders must be 42“ tall.

Kings Island Roller Coaster Height Requirements

• Adventure Express: To experience this mine train roller coaster, riders must be at least 48 inches tall. 
• Backlot Stunt Coaster: The minimum height requirement for Backlot Stunt Coaster is 48 inches.
• Banshee: For Banshee, you need to be 52 inches tall or above.
• Diamondback: To ride Diamondback the height requirement is 54 inches.
• Flight Of Fear: The Flight Of Fear indoor roller coaster launches from 0-54 mph in just four seconds. To experience this ride, you should be at least 54 inches tall.
• Invertigo: Invertigo, an inverted boomerang coaster, requires riders to be at least 54 inches tall.
• Mystic Timbers: To ride Mystic Timbers, you must be at least 48 inches tall.
• Orion: Orion, boasting a drop of 300 feet and a top speed of 91 mph, requires rides to be at least 54 inches.
• The Bat: Riders looking to spread their wings on The Bat, a suspended coaster, must be at least 48 inches tall.
• The Beast: For those eager to tame The Beast, a classic wooden roller coaster, the required height is 48 inches.
• The Great Pumpkin Coaster: The Great Pumpkin Coaster, a beginner-friendly ride for the little ones, has a height requirement of 36 inches. Riders between 36″ and 46″ must be accompanied by someone over 60″ tall.
• The Racer: To feel the need for speed on The Racer, a wooden racing coaster, you must be at least 48 inches tall.
• Woodstock Express: The Woodstock Express, a wooden roller coaster ideal for families, requires a minimum height of 40 inches. Riders between 40″ and 46″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
• Woodstock’s Air Rail (Flying Ace Aerial Chase): Riders must be at least 44 inches tall to ride Woodstock’s Air Rail, but no taller than 76 inches. Riders 44 to 54 inches tall might need help getting on and off the attraction.
